Dave Turnbull~Owner/Operator David Turnbull has grown up in Central Oregon. Dave graduated from Mountain View High School in 1984. While at Mountain View, Dave excelled at football and track. Accepting a full scholarship at Oregon State University, Dave was an All Pac-10 competitor for four years, competing in the high jump, long jump, triple jump and the 4X100 relay. Dave is a full time teacher and coach at Bend's Summit High School. While music is a passion for Dave, teaching is his calling. In his 14th year of teaching and his 21st year of coaching, Dave's passion for teaching is higher than ever. His track and field teams have been among the best in the State since 2002. His boys won the state championship in 2005 and his girls won it in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Dave has been named regional "Coach of the Year" in 2006 by the National Coaches Association and has been named Oregon coach of the year, six years running by the Oregon Coaches Association and "Who's Who In Oregon Track & Field". During Dave's tenure at Oregon State, he was always involved in music. Dave's passion for creating music drove him to the formation of "Count Zero" in the late 80's. With Marc Giltner as his bassist, Dave and Marc further developed a lifelong family and professional relationship that still thrives today! Marc Giltner~Head Engineer/Manager Marc has been with Studio 7 since it's inception in 1999. Marc has been actively involved in the music industry since 1981. Marc was owner/operator of "Soundquest" recording studios in Bend Oregon from 1990-1994. Marc graduated from Spectrum sound in 1989. Marc's has had the privilege of working with professional musicians Sara Evans, Curtis Salgado, Russ Pennavaria, Cactus Brothers, Quarterflash, The Crazy 8's and many more. Marc's has over 10 years of DJ experience and has done more weddings with Studio 7 than any of our other DJ's. Marc has been operating as a partner with Dave and his knowledge of sound reinforcement guarantees that any job will be a success. If you've been to a wedding in Central Oregon, you've probably seen Marc in action. :) Since the opening of Studio 7, Marc has engineered over 20 Albums and many commercial spots. Marc has earned the reputation as "the best rock and roll engineer around" by our clients. Marc is known for BIG sounds from local bands. Perhaps the greatest compliment we've heard lately is that our projects "sound analogue" even though we use "Pro-Tools" digital recording software. Renee' Withers~DJ & Business Manager. Renee' joined Studio 7 in late 2009. Renee' has been a teacher for many years and has been involved in the music business as a teacher and vocal instructor. It was a natural fit for her to move into the DJ business. Renee' is familiar with all of today's music and her natural easy going temperament make her a client favorite. Renee' will keep your wedding party dancing and smiling all night long. We are very fortunate to have gained Renee' as a DJ! We are currently utilizing the following DJ's.
